| White-throated Spadebill, a tiny and elusive flycatcher, was first noted in eastern Coclé Province by Michael Harvey in June of 2005, and has since proven to be somehwat regular around Cerro Gaital. It has been historically noted around Cerro Campana in western Panamá, so I would be surprised if it were not found at Altos del Maria (but a stone's throw to the west). My personal observations have been limited to a single bird (good audio collected) on Cerro Gaital in May of 2006. |
