Tawny-faced Quail
Rhynchortyx cinctus

This extremely shy and quiet quail is perhaps most likely to be found in the Cerro Azul area, although reports from even this location are few and far between. It has also been found along Pipeline Road, although I am unaware of any recent sightings. Historical records from western Panama are likely bogus, as they come from a collector who was known for sloppy and blatantly erroneous labelling of his specimens.
