| Plumbeous Hawk is rare anywhere in its range, listed as "Near-threatened" by Bird Life International. It is seen with some regularity in central Panama; the sight records that I have tracked down are drawn from a cross-section of regional birding sites. A sighting of two birds at Altos del Maria in August of 2005 represents the westernmost record of the species from the Pacific slope. |
