Olive Tanager
Chlorothraupis carmioli

Olive Tanager (known as Carmioli's Tanager to European birders) is a very bland and inconspicuous resident of central Panama, found most easily at Cerro Azul/Jefe, less so deep on Pipeline Road. Although Ridgely describes Olive Tanager as "common to fairly common" it is not reported with particular frequency of late, so is perhaps on the decline. The reports from visiting birders can prove quite useful in determining this species' current population status.
