Aplomado Falcon is of particular interest to U.S. birders in that the only
American population of the species is considered "unlistable" by ABA standards
(the birds in southern Texas are part of a reintroduction project). This species has been
found regularly around El Chirú in southern Coclé Province, the easternmost records
of the species in Panama. This species is found sporadically well to the south and east of this area in
other countries, and should be looked for in any dry, coastal habitat throughout.
